1. The personal information we collect
- Account information — when you register as a provider, your email address, mobile number and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash).
- Listing information — the content you choose to publish in your profile, including descriptions, attributes, pricing, availability, contact details and photographs.
- Messages — if you send an enquiry to a provider, the name and contact details (email and/or phone) and message you provide.
- Technical and usage information — IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser/user-agent, pages viewed and similar analytics collected automatically as you use the Site.
- Cookies — small files used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage (see "Cookies" below).
We do not seek to collect sensitive information beyond what you voluntarily include in a listing or message. Please do not provide more sensitive information than is necessary.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you (for example when you register, build a listing, or send a message) and automatically through your use of the Site and cookies. Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from the individual concerned.
3. Why we collect and use it
We use personal information to: create and manage provider accounts; publish and display listings; operate the directory and its search; deliver enquiry messages to the relevant provider; process subscriptions and payments; maintain the security and integrity of the Site; comply with our legal obligations; and improve our services. We will only use or disclose your personal information for a purpose for which it was collected, a related purpose you would reasonably expect, or as otherwise permitted by law.
4. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to: service providers who help us operate the Site (for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing and analytics providers); a provider to whom you choose to send an enquiry; and law enforcement or other authorities where required or authorised by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Public listings: information you publish in a listing is, by its nature, visible to the public. Please only include contact details you are comfortable making public.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as the age confirmation), and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them.
7. Security & retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
